The Valley of the Sun YMCA's mission is “to build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all,” and, since 1892, we have enhanced thousands of lives in Arizona. Operating in the Valley of the Sun for over a century, our programs focus on three pillars: youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, and are far-reaching, inclusive, and financially accessible. We are proud to note that more than $1.6M in financial aid was awarded to youth and families participating in our programs in 2019.
Founded in 1892, Valley of the Sun YMCA (VOSYMCA) is currently an association of fifteen branches and a residential camp, serving more than 200,000 individuals and families annually in Phoenix, Yuma, and Flagstaff. At the VOSYMCA, our goal is to identify the most pressing community needs and implement best practices and results driven programs to address these needs. We are one of the largest providers of human services in Arizona offering programs under the three pillars of our mission: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. Our core programs include the largest sports and aquatics program in the state, youth camping, childcare services, fitness, and a full menu of social service and leadership programs.
